Training band

The Vale of Glamorgan Brass Band realises that new members are needed to maintain the group, so we are delighted to have a training band.

This group trains both young and old musicians to the level required to enter the Senior Band. We can provide the instrument, the music and the training, and all we ask in return is commitment and a desire to be the best you can be!

There is a small fee to cover the cost of the music.

The band is open to anyone regardless of age or experience.

Training Bandmaster - Chris Murray

Chris has a long history of playing brass instruments and is currently one of the cornet players in the Senior Band. He has arranged many pieces of music for both the junior and senior bands. A man with a great sense of humour and patience, Chris would welcome any new players, old or young.
